Iran announces Jerusalem as Palestinian capital

Iran has passed a bill passed in the Iranian parliament by recognizing Jerusalem as the permanent capital of Palestine. 187 MPs voted in favor of this bill presented to Parliament on Sunday. Against 15 people voted against. 9 MPs abstained from voting. The bill was passed in the open session of parliament and 233 MPs were present in the session. Iran's state media has said in a report that the bill was passed under the support of the number one constitution of the Iranian constitution to the Palestinian people's struggle. The bill will now be sent to the concerned parliamentary committee and to be agenda of the Jatiya Sangsad within 48 hours. Since the Islamic revolution in Iran has succeeded, the Palestinians have made a tough stand since Tehran and Israel have been urging Muslims to unite against occupation. Note that Iran does not consider Israel as a legitimate state.
